Guarantee conditions

Art. 1 Exchange - refund

Part 1 - unused and undamaged products/parts, with the exception of specially designed and produced products/parts for customers, can be exchanged or credited within ten days of the purchase with the original receipt or invoice.

Part 2 - Remkaflex employs a period of 14 months for ‘screening’ (January -February), and is liable to call off the offered stock from month 12 to month 14. The reference date for the economic value of the offered stock is the 1st of February (month 14). The stock holder is responsible for keeping his stock as up to date as possible. That is why the stockholder supplies Remkaflex with a written copy of the offered stock in month 11 (November) at the latest.

Part 3 - We advise our stockholders, provided that packing /stock circumstances are sufficient, to sell brake /clutch hoses within at most 5 years after production date, which is printed on the hose. Yearly called off stock of brake /clutch hoses, referred to in Part 2, will not be refunded if the production date is older than 5 years. Those hoses will be destroyed.
Remkaflex obligates itself to deliver brake/ clutch hoses not older than three years.

Art. 2 Unintentional use

If Remkaflex products/parts are going to be used for purposes for which they have not been designed, with possible consequences for the durability or functionality of the products/parts, customers ought to inform Remkaflex (in writing) of this use beforehand. Possible complaints due to unreported deviant use and/or circumstances cannot be taken into consideration.

Art. 3 Customers’ specific designs

Customers’ assignments for specific designs need to be delivered in writing, provided with an explanation regarding the use and, if applicable, deviant circumstances. Non-written assignment are not warranted.

Art. 4 Adjustments

Adjustments to products/parts delivered by Remkaflex, unless carried out by Remkaflex, result in a loss of guarantee.

Art. 5 Reparations and adjustments

Reparations and/or replacement and/or adjustments by Remkaflex of Remkaflex products that did/do not come from Remkaflex or Remkaflex products of which the period of guarantee has expired, have no guarantee.

Art. 6 Construction complaints

If the construction of a product/part is not in accordance with your original (written) assignment, it is possible - if unused - to return the product and the original receipt/invoice within ten days, and have your original assignment carried out as you intended. If the product/part is not returned within ten days all claims are lost.

Art. 7 Product complaints

Paragraph 1 - Incidental product complaints

If it is reasonable to assume that a failure in a Remkaflex product/part, after coming into operation, did not originate as a result of systematic ill-use or erratic assembly (to be judged by Remkaflex), warranty requests can be submitted:

Part 1 - Customers’ specific assignment : within 2 months

Part 2 - Catalogue products/parts: within 2 months of the end user’s purchase and, at the latest, within 12 months from delivery by Remkaflex.

Paragraph 2 - Serial product complaints

If it is reasonable to assume that a complaint about a Remkaflex product/part is due to a systematic deviation of the construction and/or the material that was used to fabricate the product/part (to be judged by Remkaflex), and is not caused by normal wear, warranty requests can be submitted within a reasonable period and will be judged per case.

Paragraph 3 - Source determination

Warranty requests regarding construction and/or product complaints can only be taken into account when the returned goods and the original receipt/invoice have been received by Remkaflex.
